"What? You mean I might only get five figures this year?"

"What? You mean I might only get five figures this year?"

In the wake of an article in the Guardian by nef Policy Director Andrew Simms about the need for a maximum wage comes a new campaign from our friends and colleagues at Compass, the pressure group of the democratic left. In a letter to the Guardian, signed by a long list of academics, activists, journalists and MPs, including nef‘s Andrew Simms and Lindsay Mackie,  Compass makes the case for the establishment of a High Pay Commission, to review the salaries and bonuses of the highest earners, in a similar way in which the Low Pay Commission brought about the minimum wage in 1999.

You can show your support for the High Pay Commission by adding your name to the statement made in the Guardian at Compass’ website.
